We can get lost in the grind of the day. Try breaking for nature whether it is watching the sunrise, taking a walk barefoot on the grass, or meditating outside. Even a few minutes appreciating nature can help ground you and refresh the nervous system.

I love spending time in my garden away from technology and distraction. My boys love to join me and we have made some special memories here.

This picture above is from Lake Louise years ago while we were living in Houston during Hurricane Harvey. The contrast between Mother Nature’s potential for destruction and the tranquility of this lake allowed me to reflect on how life can change so drastically. I believe our time in nature boosts resiliency, heals the soul, and makes us appreciate the simple joys along our journey.
